Obituary
Elizabeth “Betty” Olson, age 87, passed away Friday, March 23, 2018, surrounded by her family. She has now joined her loving husband Rolland in eternal peace. Betty was born January 12, 1931 to the late Floyd and Edna Brightman as the youngest of six children.
Betty was united in marriage to the love of her life, Rolland, on November 22, 1947. They lived in the area and were members of Grace Lutheran Church in Winchester all their married lives. They spent many happy hours with family and friends golfing, playing music, and playing cards. Betty also loved tending her beautiful flower beds and feeding the birds.
She was preceded in death by Rolland on March 6, 1995; by her mother and father, Floyd and Edna Brightman; her mother- and father-in-law, Elias and Minnie Olson; sisters: Mildred Van Horn; Mae Klemp; Lucille Hegner; and by brothers: Willis and Bob Brightman.
She is survived by her children: Tom (Karen) Olson; Steve Olson; Randy (Rebecca) Olson; Terri (Steve) Strube; and Bonnie (Mike) Muhlebach; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; as well as by a sister-in-law, Gloria Manteuful; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Betty will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Grace Lutheran Church, 8396 Steeple Hill Rd., Larsen, Rev. Connie Bramlett officiating. A visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service, followed by interment and lunch.
