SANDRA HOPPE

Sandra passed away from surgical complications December 19, 2018 at Theda Clark Hospital, she was 80 years old. She was born March 20, 1938 to Charles Ermis and Genevieve Clary Ermis. Sandra married Curtis Hoppe July 27, 1981. Sandra had 3 children: Kellena (Jerry) Steinike, Dean (special friend Gwen) Hoks, and Debbie Nackers. Sandra had 5 grandchildren: Melissa (Jesse) Neidigh, Sandra (Nic) Wentz, Valerie and Matt Hoks, Ashley (fiancé Mike) Nackers. She had 7 great-grandchildren: Jacob Weitz, Jackson Wentz, Allie and Hunter Van Price, Liam and Willow Schneider, and Esme Neidigh.

She was preceded in death by one grandchild Michael Hoks, her parents Charles and Genevieve Ermis, also one brother Charles, one half-brother Leo, and her husband Curtis Hoppe. Sandra was active in her church, at one time serving as a deacon. She enjoyed knitting scarves and growing houseplants. She worked at Festival Foods as a food demonstrator right up until she became ill. Many customers would seek her out just to see a friendly smile and to chat. She was friendly, thoughtful, kind, and comforting to all she met.

We would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Sibla and Dr. Kumar at Theda Clark. Also the nursing staff on the 5th floor and a special thank you to nurse Jess in the ICU for taking special care of our mother. We would like to thank Pat Schultz Wojahn for being our mother's very best friend and Pat Ermis, who was always ready to lend a helping hand to mom.

As per Sandra's wishes we will be having a private memorial service next month. All who knew her and loved her will miss her. God bless you mom.
