ZOLTON MIHALYFI

Zoli Mihalyfi passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 in Clayton, NC. He was 89 years old. His parents Joseph and Mary gave birth to him on November 19, 1931.

Zoli was married to Mary Ann Petricko in 1958 and together they had a son, Martin Zolton. His wife, parents, and ten brothers and sisters preceded him in death; leaving a sister, a brother, and son Martin and daughter-in-law Pamela.

Zoli served his country as a U.S. Paratrooper with the 82^nd and 11^th Airborne Divisions in Germany. He also served in the Michigan National Guard.  Zoli had certificates from U.S. Armed Forces Institute: Combat Training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO; Army National Guard Field Artillery; Associate Degrees in Electronics and Paper Making.

One of his favorite Bible quotes is Isaiah 58:11, “You shall be like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.” He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and his trophy bucks were mounted and made memories come alive. Walleye fishing on Lake Winnebago was also always very special.

Military Honors will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, where Zoli will be laid to rest alongside Mary Ann in the Military section.
