Obituary
Elizabeth M. Payne, of Appleton, age 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 16, 2017, at Emerald Valley Assisted Living. She was born June 27, 1940, in Plymouth, WI, daughter of the late Gustav and Alma (Reineking) Meininger.
Elizabeth graduated from Plymouth High School with the Class of 1958. She married Alan Payne and they divorced after 19 years. They had one daughter who Elizabeth raised.
Elizabeth worked in several banks over the years in Howards Grove and Milwaukee. She then moved to Appleton in 1997. She loved politics, her cats and playing scrabble.
Survivors include her daughter, Christine (Phillip) Cuthbertson; two sisters: Julia Miller, Van Wert, OH, Judy (Russ) Johnson, Appleton; a brother, Gerald (Dorothy) Meininger, Plymouth, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
The memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home with Fr. Mark Payne officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until the hour of service.
