BONNIE OLSON

Bonnie Jean Olson, age 72, of Neenah passed away on Thursday morning, August 10, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on March 25, 1945 in New London, Wisconsin daughter of the late Harold and Elsie (Breaker) Beckman.  On June 4, 1966 she married Lynn R. Olson at Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Neenah.  Their marriage was blessed with a daughter, a son, and 51 wonderful years.

Bonnie's faith journey continued at Trinity Lutheran Church in Menasha.  She served her church community as a before and after school daycare teacher, she served hot lunches, she was on the board of social ministry, baked desserts for fundraisers, and loved helping in the food pantry.  She found much peace and comfort at bible study, where she was adored by all, and blessed by all who knew her.

Bonnie created many cherished memories with her family.  Many weekends were spent camping, fishing, boating, skiing, and tubing.  She went on many getaways and vacations with her husband, children, and granddaughter, Alisha.  She enjoyed biking and birdwatching; she loved playing softball with her best friends, bowling leagues, and monthly gatherings with “The Bag Ladies.”

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Lynn; her children: Lisa Olson, Menasha; Terry (Julie) Olson, Rosendale; grandchildren: Alisha (Matt) Baisley, Boise, ID; Anthony (Laura) Klebs, Milwaukee; Nicholas Klebs, Rosendale; sisters: Charlene (Fritz) Luebke, Oshkosh; Judy Runge, Appleton; brother Glen (Thelma) Beckman, Clayton.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several aunts and uncles.

The Memorial Service for Bonnie will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church (Broad and Tayco Streets, Menasha) with Rev. Steven Billings officiating.  Friends will be received on Friday directly at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service.  Inurnment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
