Obituary
William M. Ott, age 78, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016 at Theda Clark Medical Center. Bill was born on July 20, 1938 in Pepin County, Wisconsin the son of the late William and Catherine (Castleberg) Ott. He spent his school years in Menomonie, Wisconsin graduating from UW-Stout in 1960. He served as teacher and Administrator in the Menasha Jt. School District for thirty-eight years retiring in 1998. Bill was active in Menasha's downtown development, serving as President of the Menasha Action Council for the first ten years of its existence. He devoted his retirement years to volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and Menasha Rotary.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria; daughters: Christine Ott-Shaw, Julie (Mike) Massey, and Lisa (Mac) McLaughlin; grandsons: Liam Shaw; Sam and Nathan Massey; and Cooper McLaughlin.
A memorial service for Bill will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at Habitat for Humanity – Fox Valley.
