ALAN WATERS

Alan Richard Waters, age 65 of Menasha, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 30, 2016. He was born September 18, 1951 to Jean C. and Emery Waters and married Dolores Mohnen on November 27, 1971.

Alan loved nothing more than spending time with his grandkids, and passed his love of the outdoors on to them. He inherited a passion for fishing on Lake Winnebago from his father, and passed that love on to his son and grandson. He also enjoyed hunting and shooting. He was a former board member of the Rod & Gun Club; and volunteered at the Boys' and Girls' Brigade, participating in the Rifle Club. He was a lifelong resident of Menasha and retired after 45 years from Intertape Polymer Group in 2013.

Alan is survived by his wife of almost 45 years, Dolores; his children: Jennifer Waters; Cara (David) Martell; Laura Waters; and David Alan (Kara Lee) Waters; his four grandchildren: Reina and Dominic Martell; Violet Sanchez-Waters; and Oscar Waters; and his mother, Jean C. Waters. He is further survived by his three sisters: Roseanne (Warren) Waters; Sandra (Kurt) Schmidt; and Cheryl (Greg) Omachinski; his goddaughter and niece, Aubree Nelson; and a very extensive family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Emery Waters; his brother, Emery “Skip” Waters; his grandparents: Ella and George Waters; and his grandfather, Art Crushinski.

A memorial service for Alan will be held at 4:00 P.M. on November 4, 2016 at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of service.
