Obituary
Mrs. Marie L. Dool of Neenah, passed away on Saturday, January 14th, 2017. She was 88 years young. Marie was born on February 28, 1928, to the late Arthur Kass and Khoade (Skinadore) Kass, of the Oneida People. As a young woman, Marie followed the call of the bright lights of New York City where she eventually met and married the love of her life, the late Harold J. Dool. After his passing, Marie returned to Neenah, where she became a much loved surrogate mother to her community. Marie is survived by her daughter Laura, her loving cousin Paul Sauer, 3 Grandsons, a Great-Grandson, her God-Children, Devlin and Teagan "Bonnie-Blue Eyes" Evans, an extended family and close friends. While working the New York night club scene, Marie met some of the greatest stars of her day, including Cab Calloway, Count Basie, and Tommy Dorsey. Now her star will shine as brightly as theirs for all time.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home. A visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until the hour of service. Interment will be in Calverton National Cemetery in New York.
