Obituary
Carol J. Koehler, of Menasha, age 76, passed away at home following a 15 year battle with cancer on Monday, January 23, 2017. She was born July 17, 1940, at Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah, daughter of the late Frieda Pingel.
Carol graduated from Neenah High School in 1958. She married Dale Collier and they had three children together. They divorced after 23 years of marriage. Carol then married David Koehler in 1983.
Carol retired after 27 years as a CNA. She was employed with the Valley VNA, Lutheran Social Services, Outagamie County Health Institute and various nursing homes, private duty and group homes.
After retirement Carol volunteered at Theda Clark, Affinity Hospice, St Paul's Community Table and was active in various knitting groups. She enjoyed cooking and bringing meals to homebound friends, fishing, hunting, photography, camping and travelling.
Carol is survived by her two children: Steve Collier, Lori (Tim) Jensen; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by her son, Scott Collier.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 200 N. Commercial St., Neenah, with Rev. Paul L. Holte officiating. The visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Interment will be in Clayton Cemetery.
