Obituary
Elaine J. Schroeder, of Menasha, age 78, passed away surrounded by her family at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, February 10, 2017. She was born October 29, 1938, daughter of the late Ren and Fern (Zillmer) Ratzberg.
Elaine graduated from Neenah High School in 1956. She married Al “Butch” Schroeder on November 23, 1957. She loved to cook and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Most recently she spent 3 wonderful weeks in Florida with her husband and son.
Survivors include her husband, Al “Butch” Schroeder; four children: Denise (Roy) Meier, David (Renee) Schroeder, Vicki (Jeff) Mai, Mark Schroeder; six grandchildren: Kati (Paul) Gosz, Joe Meier, Amber Schroeder, Nick (Angela) Schroeder, Miranda (Michael) Thoma, Justin Mai; five great-grandchildren: Isabella, Harlow, Coletta, Miles and Kingston; and a great-granddaughter who is due in June, Madeline.
Elaine was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Jackson; and a sister, Rosie Sauer.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, February 13, 2017, at Bethel Ev. Lutheran Church, 829 Appleton Rd., Menasha, with Rev. Samuel Degner officiating. The visitation will be held at the church from 2:00 PM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established for Bethel Ev. Lutheran Church.
