Obituary
Edward “Ted” Elliott, age 90, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017. He was born on June 23, 1926 in Neenah to the late Edward M. and Olivette (Thayer) Elliott. Ted graduated from Menasha High School in 1944 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he served in France and Germany. He later went on to UW-Madison and worked at Marathon/American Can. Ted retired from there in 1991 after 38 years. He married Charlotte (King) Borree on June 30, 1979 and enjoyed 37 years of marriage together.
Ted was an avid fan of the Packers, Brewers, and Badgers. He enjoyed photography, traveling, reading, fishing, walking in the woods, building and flying model airplanes, and volunteering at EAA. He was a long time member of the AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) and Valley Area Modelers. Ted was loved dearly by his family, and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife Charlotte Elliott of Neenah; grandchildren: Amie Elliott of Catonsville, MD; Graham (Sarah) Elliott of Ft. Collins, CO; Nathan (Andrea) Elliott of Denver, CO; great-grandchildren: Emily, Grayson, and Elijah Elliott. He's further survived by daughters-in-law Sue (Phil Walker) Elliott and Kathy Elliott of Ft. Collins, CO; sister-in-law Rosemarie (Charles) Eaton of Iola, WI; nieces and nephew: Kari (Tom) Flenz, Kurt (Michelle) Eaton, Kristi (Jeff) Borman; great-nieces and nephews: Chad and Kira Flenz; Allison and Spencer Eaton; Eric, Rachel, Luke, and Claire Borman; and other relatives and friends. Ted was preceded in death by his sons Edward T. Elliott Jr. and Mark Elliott.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home, 205 W. Doty Avenue, with Rev. Steven Billings officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established. A special thanks goes to Oakridge Gardens, Dr. Steven Knaus, Kelly, and Kim for all of their wonderful care.
