CHRIS LESINSKI

Chris Alan Lesinski of Menasha, age 51, passed away Thursday March 22, 2018 at Cherry Meadows Hospice after battling rectal colon cancer. He was born December 23, 1966 in Neenah WI, the son of John Joseph, Jr. and Barbara Ann (Haka) Lesinski. Chris graduated from Menasha High School in 1985.

He worked at Convenience Plus for 8 years, then he worked at Goodwill for 19 years until his illness forced him to retire. Regardless of his disabilities, he was well known, loved, and will be missed by many people.

Chris was a member at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Menasha. He enjoyed watching the Packers, Cubs, Brewers and March Madness, and loved spending time with family and friends.

Having been born with Cerebral Palsy, Chris over-achieved his disability and was involved in the Special Olympics, participating in the National Golf Championship in Florida. He also coached the girls' varsity soccer team at Menasha High School, loved to play golf, and took many trips to Kentucky. 

Survivors include siblings: Mark Lesinski; twin sister, Mary (Brad) Driessen; Brian Lesinski; and Michael Lesinski; niece, Kaylyn Akstulewicz (fiancé Jon Greiner); nephews: John Akstulewicz (fiancée Stacy Wendt); and Nathan Lesinski; as well as many cousins.

He is preceded in death by both parents, John and Barbara (Haka) Lesinski. 

The family would like to thank ThedaCare at Home Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to Chris at home, especially Lorraine and Molly, among other staff members.

During Chris's last few weeks he was at Cherry Meadows.  Special thanks to the staff that took care of him in this difficult time: Ellen, Todd, and all the other staff members. 

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home, and continue on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., at which point a funeral service will be held.
