Obituary
Glenn Joseph Grant, age 79, of Winchester, WI, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 17, 2017. He was born March 31, 1938 to the late Harriet M. (Trader) and Forest H. Grant in Plover, WI. On December 31, 1998 he married Sandra (Olsen) Halle.
Glenn served in the US Army from 1956 – 1959. He then became a Gunsmith and owned his own Gun shop. He later became a certified Journeyman Sr. Machinist and worked for Voith, Inc. until he retired in 2003.
Glenn and Sandy enjoyed their life together taking day trips on country roads and watching wildlife in their backyard. He loved his family and made his grandchildren smile with his annual Easter egg hunt and sharing his love of fishing and hunting.
Glenn is survived by his wife Sandy; Winchester, WI, his children and grandchildren of their blended families: Tim (Marilyn) Grant, IL, Jennifer (Steve) Haworth, MI, Jennifer Kron, Butte des Morts, Ann (Larry) Pelot, Winchester, Darien Halle, AZ, Lisa Halle Fritsch, Kimberly, Brian Baumgarten, Little Chute; his grandchildren: Katie and Alex Grant, Marcus Haworth, Joseph, Jessica and Jacob Kron, Lauren, John and Samuel Pelot, Finn Halle, Nathan Baumgarten, Alex Fritsch; and great-grandson, Cillian Grant; three sisters: Kathy (Don) Parker, Neenah, Marge (Alan) Johnson, Fox Crossing, Connie (Ron) Hansen, Wild Rose; and many loved brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Jean (Chuck) Zickuhr.
A Celebration of his Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 210 Pleasant St., Winneconne, with Sr. Pam Biehl officiating. The visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 AM until the hour of service. Full Military Honors will follow the service conducted by the US Army. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in his name.
Thanks to the caring staff at Atrium Care in Neenah and Affinity Healthcare and Hospice and special thanks to Sister Pam and all the loving prayers from St. Mary's Winneconne. He will be deeply missed by his family and his grandchildren whom he loved very much .
