JULITTA SCHWALBACH

Julitta “Julie” Schwalbach, of Menasha, age 94, passed peacefully on Friday, May 5, 2017.  She was born November 17, 1922 in Kaukauna, daughter of the late Joe and Minnie (Vanderloop) Hennes. 

Julie graduated from Appleton High School.  She then worked for Wisconsin Bell until her marriage to Robert Schwalbach on April 22, 1944.  He preceded her in death on June 12, 1996.  Julie worked for many years as an Avon representative.  She also was employed with Wanserski's Foods for 15 years. Then she worked as a cashier at Theda Clark Hospital for nine years before retiring.

Julie enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, knitting and crocheting.  She loved spending time with her family at get-togethers, especially at the lake cottage in Pickerel, WI.

Julie was a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Menasha.

Survivors include her four sons and daughters-in-law: Glen and Judy, Ron and Darlene, Peter and Julie, and Ken and Kathie; six grandchildren: Amy Schwalbach, Brian Schwalbach, Sara (Tim) Chapin, Paul (Chris) Schwalbach, Ryan Schwalbach, and Chad Schwalbach; five great-grandchildren: Lou, Cameron, Evan, Emily and Sam; a sister, Bernice Nack; a niece, Connie (Mike) Collins; three nephews: Bill (Cindy) Nack, Gary Nack, and Jeff Nack; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, Julie was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jamie Schwalbach; a brother-in-law, William Nack and a close sister-in-law Margaret Schwalbach. 

The Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 516 De Pere St., Menasha, with Fr. Paul Paider officiating.  The visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass.  A memorial is being established for St. John's Church.
