Obituary
Nicholas G. Lanser, “Nick” of Appleton, age 84, passed away at his home, following a long battle with Dementia, on Monday, June 12, 2017. He was born November 8, 1932, son of the late Frank and Agnes Lanser.
Nick married Lovita Wegner on February 28, 1981 in Appleton. She preceded him in death on February 21, 2011. Nick worked as a farmer for most of his life. He then owned and operated a floor cleaning business in Appleton until his retirement. Nick enjoyed fishing up North at his cottage.
Nick was a member of Sacred Heart Parish of Appleton.
Survivors include his daughter, Wendy (Lee) Samp; two sons: Dan Lanser, Gary Lanser; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Clara Neubauer.
Nick was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Lanser.
The Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at Sacred Heart Parish, 222 E. Fremont St., Appleton, with Fr. Don Zuleger officiating. The visitation will be held at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home, TONIGHT from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM and again at the church on Thursday from 9:00 AM until the hour of service. Interment will be in Enterprise, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in his name.
