DONALD MODERSON

Donald A. Moderson, age 91 of Neenah, was called home to the Lord on Saturday, June 17, 2017.  He was born on October 17, 1925, to the late Albert and Katherine (Yankuskie) Moderson.  Don married Geraldine Schramm on May 7, 1966.  He served his country in the U.S. Army and went on to work for many years at Wisconsin Tissue Mills.  While he was there, he was a very involved worker and served numerous terms as the union president.  Don always had a strong faith and was a long-time member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Neenah.  His love of polka music began when he was a child.  His family would listen and dance while his father played the concertina.  He was an avid Brewers fan and enjoyed racing his stock car in the early 1960's.  Don was loved dearly by his family and will be missed greatly. 

He is survived by his daughter Donna (Michael) Van Landghen; granddaughter Jill Van Landghen; other children Linda (Robert) Neveau and Richard (Karen Bruehl) Moderson; step-children Cyndy (Ron) Case, Paul (Sue) Case, Stanley (Barb) Case, and Brian Case.  Don is further survived by his companion Rose Card, long-time friend Ben Jeffries, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other relatives. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Moderson; step-sons Nelson and Bernard Case; sisters Martha, Alice, and Beatrice; and brothers Oscar, Gordon, and Marvin.

Don will be laid to rest at Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh privately.
