Obituary
Geraldine Rose Ortin, age 88 passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec 28, 2016. After suffering a massive stroke 11 years ago that left her paralyzed and unable to walk, she is now walking with her Lord in Heaven. Geri was born on November 2, 1928 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Edwin and Agnes (Jazdzewski) Schrank. On March 12, 1947 she married William Ortin. Their marriage was blessed with two boys and three girls. They were also blessed with 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Geri devoted her entire life to her family and friends with a selfless, sacrificial love.
Geri was the beloved Wife of William Ortin for 70 years; dear Mother of Bill(Linda), Deb(Jim), Dave(Andi), the late Sandy(Mark), and Annie(Matt); cherished Grandmother to Lori, Scott(Katie), Krista(Dean) and Tim(Jasmine); Marcus(Cookie), Janel and Vanessa; Jennifer(Jason), Jamie(Darrin), and Hubert(Elizabeth); Paul(Casey) and John; Katelyn(Austin), Andrew(Abby), BreAnna and Anaika.
She was also the loving Great-Grandmother to Haley(Dylan) and Josh; Alyssa, Zach and Bryce; Amanda, Michael and Matthew; Luke; Anthony, Kyale, Vivian, and Kaeden; Caleb and Maya; Makenna and Alivia; Keshia, Kassiah, Kenan and Austin; Sloan and Enzo; Ethan, Mary and George; Trenton and Lily; Theodore; and Great-Great Grandmother to Kinsley.
Geri was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Sandra Auer on August 13, 2016 and her four sisters, Marianne, Barbara, Lois and Janine as well as her parents.
To honor her wishes, there will be no funeral service because Geri said, "If anyone wants to see me, they can see me while I am alive". A private burial will be held at the Central Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in King, WI.
