SUE STEFFEN

?Sue C. Steffen, of Menasha, age 74, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Monday, June 26, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Hospital.  She was born October 22, 1942 in Oshkosh, daughter of the late Harvey and Ellen Mae (Jensen) Ziebell.

Sue graduated from High School in Oshkosh early and then from the Michael Reese X – Ray School in Chicago with a degree for Radiation Therapist. 

Sue married Thomas Steffen on February 27, 1965.  She was employed with Appleton Medical Center for a couple of years before raising her family.  Sue then retired from St. Elizabeth Hospital after 20 years of employment. 

Sue volunteered with the Homeless Shelter in Appleton, the Community Blood Center and the Menasha Senior Center.  She was an active member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas; her son, Erik (Tracey) Steffen, Appleton; her daughter, Amber Dan, Tulsa, OK; six grandchildren: Claire and Ethan Steffen; Siah, Se'lah, Shea and Kaisen Dan; and a brother-in-law, James (Susan) Steffen, Neenah. 

Sue was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen Zabinske.

The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 30, 2017, at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 473 Seventh St., Menasha, with Rev. David Skarsten officiating.  The visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 AM until the hour of service.  In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established for Homeless Connections of Appleton.
