Obituary
Ethel Grace (Rogers) Lashbrook, 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 24, 2019, in Appleton, Wisconsin.
She leaves her son, G. E. (Janet L.) Lashbrook Jr.; her daughter, Brook "Edna" (Chris) Murray; her son, Glen (Janet K.) Lashbrook. Also four grandchildren: Shannon Lashbrook (Travis Nahler); Kristi (Michael) Murphy; Andrea (Jesse) Sutherland; Eric (Alaina) Lashbrook; along with ten great-grandchildren. Ethel was the youngest of eleven children. Two of her brothers survive, Paul Rogers and Harold “Hard” Rogers, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Ethel was born in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, the daughter of George and Edna (Weight) Rogers. She was a long time resident of Marion, Indiana, before moving to Appleton, Wisconsin, in 2014.
Her faith was very important to her. She attended Westside Assembly (New Life Community Church) where she taught Sunday school. Ethel also attended Calvary Bible Church in Wisconsin. Ethel had a green thumb and enjoyed plants and flowers. She will be remembered for her chicken and dumplings, swiss steak, and black raspberry cobbler.
There will be a Memorial Service at New Life Community Church, 2011 West 10th Street, Marion, Indiana, on Saturday, October 26, at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Interment will be at Mount Lebanon Cemetery in French Lick, Indiana.
Ethel suffered from arthritis and postherpetic neuralgia resulting from shingles. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to an organization of your choice that supports one of these conditions.
