GERALD LASHBROOK

Gerald "Jerry" Edward Lashbrook, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 22, 2017, in Appleton, Wisconsin.
He leaves his wife of 63 years, Ethel (Rogers) Lashbrook; his son, G. E. (Janet L.) Lashbrook Jr.; his daughter, Brook "Edna" (Chris) Murray; his son, Glen (Janet K.) Lashbrook. Also four grandchildren: Shannon Lashbrook (Travis Nahler); Kristi (Michael) Murphy; Andrea (Jesse) Sutherland; Eric (Alaina) Lashbrook; along with nine great-grandchildren. Two of his sisters survive, Joyce Dodson and Sharon Tarr, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Lee Lashbrook, and two sisters, Janette Holloway and Glenda Moffatt.
Gerald was born and raised in French Lick, Indiana, the son of Leo and Ora Mae (Hammond) Lashbrook. He served his Country in the Army at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He was a long time resident of Marion, Indiana, before moving to Appleton, Wisconsin, in 2014.
His faith was very important to him. He attended Westside Assembly (New Life Community Church) where he served in several capacities, particularly VBS in the summers. He worked at General Motors in Marion, retiring in 1986. He and his wife were active in the Senior Center in Marion, where they especially enjoyed playing Euchre.
There will be a Memorial Service at New Life Community Church, 2011 West 10th Street, Marion, Indiana, on Saturday, August 19, at 5:00 p.m.  Visitation will be from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Interment will be at Mount Lebanon Cemetery in French Lick, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Marion Grant County Senior Center, 503 S Gallatin St, Marion, IN 46953.
