Obituary
Elaine E. Spang, of Neenah, age 90, passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 20, 2017, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah. She was born May 23, 1927, the daughter of the late William and Dorena (Schwanke) Bohlmann.
Elaine grew up in Neenah and was united in marriage to Aelred "Al” Spang on June 21, 1952. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1999. She worked at Krueger Hardware before devoting herself to raising her family.
Elaine found tremendous joy in her membership at Trinity Lutheran Church of Neenah, and in the warm relationship she and Al had enjoyed with her brother, Elmer Bohlmann, sister, Ethel, and brother-in-law, Wally Sellnow, all who preceded her in death.
Elaine is survived by her son, Thomas (Ingrid) Spang, Washington DC; grandsons: Carter and Thatcher. She is further survived by a daughter-in-law, Cindy Rolston; and grandsons: Michael Spang Jr., and William Spang; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her son, Michael, passed away in 1985.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 29, 2017, at Trinity Lutheran Church. 407 Oak St., Neenah, with Rev. D. J. Engelbrecht officiating. The visitation will be held at the church from10:30 AM until the hour of service.
The family wished to thank the staff of Home Instead, which aided and cared for her in recent years, Mike Bogan, whose friendship and caring was deeply appreciated, Elaine's neighbor's, who watched over her, and the generous and kind Physicians and Nurses at Theda Clark.
