CLIFFORD MCCOY

Clifford J. McCoy, age 91 of Neenah passed away on Monday morning, September 11, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh.  He was born on June 10, 1926 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin son of the late Harry C. and Mabel E. (Jesse) McCoy.  On April 27, 1957 he married Joan L. Curtis at St. Stevens Lutheran Church in Rogersville, Wisconsin.  Their marriage was blessed with two sons, a daughter and the couple just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year.  Cliff worked for Friden Inc. as an electronics technician, and after retirement he drove vehicles for Bergstrom Automotive.  He was proud to have worked on many occasions with Brett Favre, Paul Harvey, and John Bergstrom.  He was a charter member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Neenah.  Cliff was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He was a HAM Radio operator, WB9ELH, and was proud to have spoken to somebody in every single county in the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii.  He enjoyed trap shooting, and was the oldest member of the Fox Valley Gun Club.  He was the king of one-liners, and his love and spirit will be truly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; his children: Rich (Michele) McCoy, Oshkosh; Randy McCoy, Oshkosh; Kathleen (Harry) Hotchkiss, Louisville, KY; grandchildren: Amanda McCoy, Kendall McCoy, Alyssa McCoy, Andrew McCoy, Leah Hotchkiss, Mark Hotchkiss.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Yvonne Richardson.

The Funeral Service for Cliff will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church (1140 Tullar Road, Neenah) with Rev. Jon Gallatin officiating.  Friends will be received on Wednesday evening at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again on Thursday directly at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service.  Interment will be in the Rogersville Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Cliff's name to: Gloria Dei Lutheran Church or The Larsen-Winchester Lions Club.
