RICHARD PETERS

After a long, determined struggle with health issues, Richard M. Peters passed away on September 20, 2017.  Richard was born to August and Vivienne (Schultz) Peters on December 2, 1942 in Easton, Pennsylvania, moving with the family to Neenah, Wisconsin in 1948.  He graduated from Roosevelt School, Kimberly Junior High School and Neenah High School, subsequently attending the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh while working full-time for American Can Company and fulfilling his military obligation with the U. S. Army Reserves.  He cherished his travels to England and France while studying Art History and to Finland, Turkey and Russia while studying their cultures.

Richard was employed by Sun Chemical in Iowa and furthered his education while working for Flint Ink in Michigan as a senior graphic technologist.   His expertise in his field earned him many awards while working at Flint Ink while also teaching a class at Washtenaw Community College relating to color ink graphics.    Subsequent to retirement from Flint Ink, he returned to the Fox River Valley and was employed by Pitney Bowes in the customer service department. 

Richard is survived by his twin sister, Pamela (Uldis) Praulins of Indian Wells, CA; and his younger sister, Susan Rausch of Madison, WI; as well as his niece, Greta (Kevin) Teter of McFarland, WI, their children Colton and Abby; and his nephew, Kurt (Margaret) Rausch of Evansville, WI.

Richard will be sorely missed by his family who would like to thank his many friends for their unending prayers and support.  The family also appreciates Fox Valley VNA and Heartland Hospice for their exceptional care.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church, 200 Church St., Neenah, Rev. Paul Huxtable officiating. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service.
