CARL NOLLENBERG

Carl R. Nollenberg, age 85, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 24, 2017.  He was born on May 23, 1932 to the late Avalt and Louisa Nollenberg.  He married Betty Berndt on June 21, 1957 in Shawano and enjoyed 50 years of marriage before she passed away in 2008.  Carl loved fishing, hunting, working on cars, and spending time outdoors.  He worked for the City of Neenah for many years as a mechanic before retiring.  Carl later worked as a volunteer fire fighter in Newald.  He was loved dearly by his family and will be missed greatly.

Carl is survived by his children: Carla (Mike) Wittmann, Robert Nollenberg, Nancy (Steve) Manteufel, Curtis (Kris) Nollenberg, Steve Nollenberg, and Wayne (Amy) Nollenberg; siblings: Clyde (Marion) Nollenberg, Carol Cutler, Fern Fuhrmann, and Raymond (Sue) Nollenberg; and sisters-in-law Anita and Joanne Nollenberg.  He is further survived by 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.  Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Nollenberg, son James Nollenberg, brothers: LeRoy Nollenberg, Harold Nollenberg, and Leo Nollenberg. 

Visitation for Carl will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home, 205 W. Doty Avenue, Neenah.  The Funeral Service for Carl will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Westgor Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Holte officiating.  An additional time of visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
