Obituary
Jean Marie Eaton (Jellison, La Pean), age 78, entered into eternal life September 27, 2018 at Theda Care Medical Center. She was born on November 11, 1939 in Sheboygan, WI daughter of Howard and Dulcine (Gohr) La Pean. Late in Life, Jean embraced technology/Internet and found her soul Mate and true angel, Jerry Eaton, and married him on September 30, 2017.
Jean grew up in Sheboygan and lived in Elkhart Lake, Columbus, and Appleton WI. Jean worked at Martini's Restaurant, created the first fresh seafood shop in Appleton - La Seafood Technique, cooked at Neenah paper mill and The Guardian, finally retiring from Lutheran Social Services as a night monitor.
Jean only saw good in all people and she never spoke ill of anyone. In the mid 1970's, she sponsored Somsouk Vongvanith and Chansamo Luangrath, refugee's from Thailand, and welcomed them to her Appleton home and family. In the 1990's, she took in and cared for her mother and father until they passed.
Jean was a creative/master of Billiards, an excellent cook, puzzles, crosswords, bingo, playing cards and marble game created by her father, TV games shows, fishing, painting ceramic figurines, avid Packers fan and loved singing with the Y Knots.
Jean is survived by her husband Jerry Eaton, son Robert (Tori) Lehman, grandson David Lehman, sister Deloris (John) Ballhorn, niece Linda (Dave) Uitenbroek, sister-in-law Sue La Pean, great niece Chloe (Bill) Balwinski and their children Dominic and Brenan, Anna La Pean and Allison (Nate)Kirschner and their daughter Saraphina, great niece Kelly Ballhorn.
She is preceded in death by her 2 year old son Ricky Jellison, parents Howard Dulcine La Pean, nephew Michael Wolter, brother Richard La Pean, Somsouk Vongvanith, and many Gohr relatives.
Jean was the kindest person you will ever meet. Her sense of humor and laughter brightened every room, outpouring of generosity, kindness and love defined her. We were happy to call her Wife, Mother, Mother-In-Law, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, Friend and Billiard or Singing partner. We look forward to laughing and loving with her again.
