ROBERT ST. PIERRE

Robert L. St. Pierre, age 88, of Neenah, Wisconsin died on October 7, 2017 after a long illness. Born in Ft. Edward, NY, Bob moved to Wisconsin with his family as a young boy.  He graduated from Appleton High School where he excelled in track and field. He entered the Army in 1947 and after an honorable discharge, enrolled at the University of Wisconsin in economics. In his junior year, he met the love of his life, Alice Tuchscherer. They were married in 1952.  Bob was employed in customer service with American Can Company, later with Thilmany Paper Company. He "retired" at age 55 to pursue his dream career of purchasing and remodeling homes in Neenah and Menasha. He and Alice "flipped" over 100 homes in 20 years.

Bob loved the outdoors and was an avid duck hunter and fisherman. He and Alice built a home on Lake Winnebago and lived there for 48 years. His favorite stories were of hunting at the Black Slough in Shiocton and taking fishing fly-in trips to Canada. He enjoyed his breakfast group, monthly "Bridge Club" parties and yearly high school reunion "fish fry" dinners.

Bob was blessed with 4 children, 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. In 2012 he lost his beloved wife Alice. Surviving are Bob's children, Ellen St. Pierre, Luke (Patricia) St. Pierre, Jeanne (Dr. James) Amstadt, and Rob (Gwen) St. Pierre;  his grandchildren Robert (Michelle) Dillon, Patrick Dillon, Stephanie (Ric Schultz) Wendrick-Schultz, Monique (Eric) Soda, Ian St. Pierre, Robert St. Pierre, Jennifer St. Pierre, Matthew St. Pierre, Jacob Van Os, his great-grandchildren and his sister, Johanne Schubert.

The Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home.  Military Honors will follow the service with the Neenah/Menasha Veterans Honor Guard.  Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until the hour of service.  In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.

Our family would like to thank all of Dad's friends who have been so kind since Mom's death. We are very grateful for his at-home caregivers Linda, Bonnie and Emily, and to the staff at VNA Assisted Living.
