Obituary
Sharon M. Albrecht, of Neenah, age 62, passed away unexpectedly at St. Elizabeth Hospital, surrounded by her family and friends, on Monday, November 6, 2017. She was born October 31, 1955, in Beloit, WI, daughter of the late Pearl “Pat” Albrecht. Sharon was raised in Combined Locks and attended Kimberly High School.
Sharon found the love of her life, Eileen McCoy. They were together for 31 years and were married on May 9, 2015. She was employed with the Visiting Nurse Association for a number of years. Sharon then worked as a medical transcriptionist for 15 years with Affinity Health, until her retirement in June of 2016.
Sharon enjoyed traveling with her friends. She was very artistic and generous. She was most passionate about designing and making jewelry for others. Sharon cherished her niece and nephews.
Survivors include her wife, Eileen McCoy, Neenah; her sister, Linda A. Blom, TX; four sisters-in-law: Joan (Tom) Zierler, Neenah, Cindy (Tom) Golart, FL, Sheila McCoy, VA, Phoebe (Jim) De Haven, NH; two nephews: Ryan (Jayme) Albrecht, Kaukauna, Kyle (Karen Miketinac) Albrecht, Combined Locks; two nieces: Holly (Jesse) Shoemaker, MI, Sam Zierler, Kaukauna; and three great-nieces: Lydia and Addison Albrecht, Kaukauna, Leona Shoemaker, MI.
Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, Greg Albrecht.
A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 PM on Monday, November 13. 2017, at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home. The visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in her name.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Elizabeth Hospital ICU, especially nurses Amy and Allison, and Dr. Aliyeva.
