JOAN DAMIE

Joan M. Damie, age 61, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017 after complications from a chronic health condition.  She was born on May 16, 1956 to George and Caroline (Mroczynski) Vissers and resided in Menasha.  Joan married Joe Damie on May 6, 1989 and enjoyed 28 years together.  She always had a strong faith and was a member at St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha.  Joan enjoyed skiing, golfing, camping trips up north, and spending time by the campfire.  She was a very talented artist with a heart of gold.  Joan always had a positive attitude and was a joy to be around.  She was loved dearly by her family and will be missed greatly. 

Joan is survived by her husband Joe Damie; mother Carol Vissers; brothers Jeff (Lori) Vissers, Travis (Stacey) Vissers; sisters Sally Vissers, Crystal (Paul) Hansen, Cindy (Paul) Tassoul; mother-in-law Margaret Damie; and sister-in-law Cathy (Mark) Jung.  She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Joan was preceded in death by her father George Vissers and father-in-law John Damie.

A Memorial Mass for Joan will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, November 17, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 528 Second Street, Menasha with Rev. Paul Paider officiating.  Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of the mass.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
