CLIFFORD JOHN NYMAN

Mr. Clifford John Nyman, 100, of Galesburg, Illinois, formerly of Menasha, died at 9:17 a.m. Monday, November 13, 2017 at Knox County Nursing Home, Knoxville, Illinois.

He was born May 28, 1917 in Appleton, Wisconsin, the son of John and Della Manville Nyman. He married Mae Ferron on October 28, 1939 in Neenah, Wisconsin. She preceded him in death.

Clifford is survived by his daughter, Amber L. (Robert) Clark of Galesburg; daughter-in-law, Sharon Nyman of Racine, Wisconsin; three grandchildren, Tim (Betsy) Nyman, Rob (Claire) Clark and Kathryn (Michael Fiala) Nyman; and seven great grandchildren, Owen Clark, August Clark, Asher Clark, Ellis Clark, Rebecca Nyman, Ethan Fiala and Jordan Fiala. He is further survived by a foster daughter, Jeanne Horton of Palmdale, California and a special niece, Sandra Birling of Menasha, Wisconsin. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his son, Thomas Nyman, who passed away in July 2017.

Clifford worked as a photo engraver and as a musician for many years. He graduated from Neenah High school in 1935. He was a former member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Neenah, Wisconsin.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home, 1140 Appleton Road, Menasha with Rev. Bob Clark and Rev. Martin Ruge officiating.  Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Menasha Senior Center are appreciated, 116 Main Street, Menasha.
