BARBARA ALLEN

Barbara Lou Allen, 72, died Monday September 12, 2022, at Cherry Meadows Hospice, Appleton. She was born in Neenah on March 13, 1950, daughter of the late Thayer and Margaret (Blenker) Allen.

Barbara graduated from Neenah High School and went on to UW-Oshkosh where she received her bachelor's degree as a Registered nurse. She worked at ThedaClark Medical Center, Neenah for 40 years, starting as a candy striper and worked as a bedmaker. After receiving her degree, Barbara worked as an RN in the ICU and PACU and finished her career working in day surgery. She volunteered her time and talent for the Boys and Girls Brigade as a camp nurse for Camp Onaway for over 20 years. Barbara played violin in the New Horizon Orchestra since 2005 until recently. She also enjoyed reading and watching movies, travelling in her motor home, and camping with friends. Barbara loved cats all her life, especially her most recent friends, Morris and Maisie.

Barbara is survived by her cousins: Mary Plymire, Barbara Hickcox, Ellen Lind, Margaret Blenker, Robert Blenker, Harry Blenker, and John Blenker, as well as by their families and many close friends.

Memorial service for Barbara will be 2:00 P.M. on Friday, September 30, 2022 at the WESTGOR FUNERAL HOME, Neenah. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service.
