WESLEY THOMA

Wesley W. Thoma, age 87, of Neenah passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King.  He was born on July 7, 1930 in New London, Wisconsin, son of the late Earl and Edna (Tornow) Thoma.  After school, Wesley proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  He married Joanne E. Dutter on September 19, 1955.  Their marriage was blessed with two children and almost 51 years before Joanne preceded Wesley in death on September 13, 2006.  Wesley started his business, Thoma Electric in 1966 and ran his business until his retirement around 2010.  He loved golfing, and was a member at Ridgeway Country Club.  He also enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, and camping.

He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Lynda (Willard) Hawley, Neenah; son, Scott Thoma, Neenah; grandchildren: Jennifer (Skinny) Meidam, Appleton; Mike (Jessica) Thoma, Neenah; James Maas, Seymour; Robert (sp. friend Keri) Maas, Neenah; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Jeanine (Leonard) Pankow, Weyauwega; several nieces and nephews; other relatives; and friends.

The Funeral Service for Wesley will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church (140 S. Green Bay Road, Neenah) with Rev. Robert Wilkinson officiating.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 2 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home, and again on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service, directly at the church.  Full military honors will be performed at the church at the conclusion of the Christian funeral service.  Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in his name.
