RITA KOTARBA

Rita A. Kotarba, age 83, of Menasha, passed away on Tuesday morning, March 27, 2018 at Care Partners in Appleton.  She was born on March 23, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois, daughter of the late Frank and Agnes Bonczkowski.  On August 7, 1965 she married Eugene L. Kotarba, they relocated to Menasha and their marriage was blessed with two children and 44 wonderful years before Eugene preceded her in death on October 19, 2009.  Rita was very generous with her time in our area.  She volunteered at St. Mary Schools and St. Mary Catholic Church, where she was an active member.  She always supported her childrens' endeavors, and helped out when she was needed with the band, 4H Club, etc.  Rita was a strong willed woman, who was very proud of her Polish heritage.    She was a Chicago Bears fan, loved making crafts, and more recently she enjoyed spending time at the Menasha Senior Center.  She generously supported causes including: Native American Children, Veterans Organizations, and sheltered animals.

She will be sadly missed by her children: Bart (Lori), Kotarba, Rhinelander; Gena (Gordy) Vosters, Kaukauna; grandchildren: Katelin (Troy), Jonah (special friend Katelyn), Peter, Grace (Daniel); great grandson, Landon; sister Shirley (Matt) Skwarczek; nieces; nephews; and friends.  In addition to her parents and her husband, Rita was preceded in death by her sister Rose Marie (John) Klick.

The Funeral Mass for Rita will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church (528 Second Street, Menasha).  Friends will be received at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Rita's name may be given to Northwoods Wildlife Center, 8683 S. Blumenstein Rd., Minocqua, WI 54548.
