ROBERT LINDSEY

Robert R. Lindsey, age 94, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018.  He was born on November 16, 1923 in Evansville, Indiana to the late Roy and Mildred Lindsey.  Bob married Sandy Kobussen on March 2, 1974 and were blessed with 43 years of marriage. In his 94 years, Bob touched many lives and kept lasting friendships stemming back to his kindergarten class! He was a personable character to say the least and his humor was infectious. He was a "hugger" and enjoyed a good laugh. Committed to letting those that came into his life know that they had value and most of the time they became part of the family. In his days, he was a Thespian, a Singer with Barbershop Quartets and various Choirs, a Musician, a Poet, a world-wide Traveler and Tour Director, and a fabulous Cook who loved entertaining plus so much more.

He proudly served his country in the US Air Corps (1942-1945) with his knowledge of Morse Code as a Radio Operator. As a Regional Sales Manager for Johnson Controls, he met many people over his long career and always left them with Chocolate Candy Kisses, how he kept them from melting first was his secret! He was a loving and devoted family man and his family and friends will cherish all the wonderful memories he gave them. To quote Frank Festi; “Your Dad was a great man who showed everyone, who was privileged to know him, what a life well-lived is all about. He will be missed, but his impact will survive for generations.”

Bob is survived by his wife Sandy Lindsey; children: Carol (Matt) Stevenson, Margaret (Doug) Lautenschlager, Tom (significant other Becky) Lindsey, Jim Lindsey, Shelly (Bob) Jaehnke, Joe Wirth, and Becky (Andy) McDicken; grandchildren: Rob (Michelle), Angie, Stryder (Jen), Jazmine (Luis), Justin, Johnathan, Logan, Alex (Jamie), Kaitlin (Arthur), Taylor, Justin, Jennifer (Kyle), John, Charlie, Susie, Cole, Katy, and Sara (Cody).  He's further survived by his 14 great-grandchildren, many special friends, and his two favorite cats Gabe and Junior.  Bob was preceded in death by many close friends.

The Celebration of Life for Bob will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home, 205 W. Doty Avenue, Neenah with Rev. Rose McCurdy officiating.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established.
