Obituary
Ruth R. Franger, 60, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. She was born Ruth Ann Ranney on January 03, 1958 in Elmhurst, Illinois to Helen (Nielsen) Ranney and the late David Ranney. Ruth grew up in Westfield, New Jersey. She was united in marriage to John Franger on August 15, 1980. They raised their family in Neenah, Wisconsin and spent a short time in Aiken, South Carolina before returning.
Ruth is survived by her husband and son, Stephen (Amanda) Franger and two of their children, all of Neenah, Wisconsin.
Ruth is further survived by her mother, Helen; brothers, Edward Ranney and Richard (Stephanie) Ranney; and nieces/nephews. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Bernice Franger; brother-in-law, Thomas (Barbara) Franger; sister-in-law, Kathlyn (Andrew) Milkowski; and nieces/nephews.
Ruth is preceded in death by her father, David Ranney; sister, Louise Ranney; brother, Thomas (Debra) Ranney; and father-in-law, Fred Franger.
Ruth enjoyed many hobbies, most notably genealogy, various needlework, and music. She was a devout member of the Presbyterian Church where she actively served as Deacon and Elder and participated in several choirs. She was also a proud member of PEO. She earned her degree in finance from the University of Illinois in 1980. It was there she met her husband.
Ruth's greatest joys in life came as a mother and grandmother. She adored her family and cherished her grandchildren. She was a woman of great strength and conviction, fulfilled in her faith, and a genuine example of God's love and unwavering devotion to serving others. Above all, she loved deeply and forgivingly. Words cannot express how truly wonderful she was inside and out. She will be missed every day.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00am on Friday, January 26, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church, 200 Church Street, Neenah, WI with the Rev. Paul Huxtable officiating. Visitation is at the church from 9:30am until the hour of service. Interment will be in the church columbarium.
