NICHOLAS DIEHL
September 27, 1994 - January 28, 2018
Obituary
Nicholas M. Diehl, age 23 of Neenah, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 28th 2018. He was born in Neenah to Michael and Tina (Bonnell) Diehl on September 27, 1994.
Nicholas was a graduate of Neenah High School and after graduating, he joined the Army in hopes of becoming a drone pilot. Nick earned his wings in 2017 with the rank of Private First Class, which led him to be stationed at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas. Just like his father before him, Nicholas had an extraordinary gift for making everyone he met feel important and found joy by making others happy and proud. It's never easy to say goodbye, especially to someone who had such a natural gift for making so many people happy, laugh and feel welcome. Nick will be remembered for many great things; most notably his charming personality and his little “devil” grin!
Nicholas will be missed by many; his parents, Tina and Chris Opinker, Sherry Diehl (step-mother); his siblings: Jacob Diehl (fiancé Rebecca Schreiber), Julia Harvath and his step siblings Colton, Hunter, Sumer (Opinker).
He is further survived by his grandparents, Daniel and Christine Diehl; Lorraine and Vern Jankowski and Victor and Connie Wellhoefer; his great-grandmother, Patricia Diehl, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Diehl; his great grandparents, Robert Diehl; Russell and Bernice Cross.
The Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home. The visitation will be held from 1:00 Pm until the hour of service.
