Obituary
Karen Kay Lippert, 67, died Monday May 24, 2021 at Cherry Meadows Hospice, Appleton, after a three-year battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born April 6, 1954 in Clintonville, the oldest of six daughters to Gerald and Carol (Miller) Kratzke. Karen married Richard Lippert on August 10, 1973.
Karen graduated from Neenah High School, Class of 1972. She worked at TJ Maxx, retiring in 2015. Karen was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Neenah, which she attended with her son, Kurt. She enjoyed traveling and camping with Dick, taking trips, and playing cards with her mom and sisters. Karen loved being in the outdoors enjoying nature, she always said she would rather camp than stay in a hotel. Her favorite place to camp was at Hartman Creek in Waupaca. She enjoyed going on long walks with her son, Kurt, hanging out and shopping with her daughter, Angela, and especially her adventures with her grandkids.
Karen is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Richard; her two children: daughter, Angela (Roger) Hemmerling, Appleton, and son, Kurt Lippert, Appleton; three grandchildren: Tyler, Alyssa, and Jaxon Hemmerling; mother, Carol Kratzke; five sisters: Karla Klundt, Neenah, Connie (Davy) Buksyk, Neenah, Cindy (Joe) Palm, Oshkosh, Kristy (Tim) Barthel, Lakewood, and Kellie (Jeff) Bridges, Aurora, CO. Karen was preceded in death by her father, Gerald; mother and father in-law, Marian Schroeder and Kenneth Lippert; brother in-law, Robert Lippert; and grandmother, Minnie Kratzke.
Memorial service for Karen will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday May 29, 2021 at OUR SAVIOR'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 809 S Commercial Street, Neenah, with Rev. Jon Strasman officiating. Visitation will be held at the church Saturday morning beginning at 9:00 until the 11:00 AM service.
