JOSEPH CURLER

Joseph H. Curler, age 56, passed away February 13, 2018 in St. Pete Beach, FL, surrounded by his family. He was born November 16, 1961 to Howard and Alice (Welsh) Curler in New London, where he graduated from high school in 1980. He earned his BBA from Chaminade University in Honolulu and his MBA from the University of Hawaii. He was an entrepreneur by trade, creating Afton, a bottled water company. He also authored two novels under the pen name Joseph Harold.

Joe's favorite place to spend time was on the beach. His many interests included traveling, scuba diving, boating, fishing, watching the stock market—he even had his pilot's license. Mostly, Joe will be remembered as a giver of nicknames, and for his infectious sense of humor that charmed everyone.

Joe is survived by his wife, Nancy; siblings Katie (Joe) Golichnik; Mike (Nan) Curler; Jane (Ron) Johnson; Pat Curler; Jeff (Lea) Curler; and Gwen (Bob) Krostue; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Alice, and by his nephew, Nick Curler.

A memorial service for Joe will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 16 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 439 Washington Ave., Neenah, Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken officiating. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Joe will be laid to rest alongside his parents in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to family friend Erin; Joe's niece, Nancy; and his cousin Pete for all of their care, compassion and help throughout Joe's last days.
