EVA BROWNING

Eva Ruth Browning passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family members on March 2, 2018 in Appleton, Wisconsin after a brief illness.  She was born to Paul Tietz and Elfriede (Lehmen) Tietz on June 3, 1928 in Berlin-Spandau, Germany.  After coming to the United States in 1953, she lived in Peoria, Illinois; the Detroit area of Michigan; and the Madison and Appleton areas of Wisconsin. In 1984she married Robert Carol Browning.

She is survived by her daughter Margit (Dale) Rezabek and her stepchildren Carolynn Stanley, Susan Benoit, Margaret Browning (Bernard Craig), and Brian (Judy) Browning. She is also survived by her grandsons Tyler, Kevin (fiancé, Dahee Kim), Douglas, and Brad Rezabek, as well as her step-grandchildren Robert (Wendy) Stanley, James (Jessica) Stanley, Laura Benoit, Michael Benoit, Hilary Browning-Craig (Justin Landers), Ryan (Colby) Browning-Craig, Nicholas Browning, and Jennifer Browning; and several step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her dear friend Maxine Dennis and the family of another dear friend, the late John Haugen. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Browning, in 1997, and her dear friend, John Haugen, in 2010. 

Eva touched the lives of many people. Her grandchildren and step-grandchildren especially appreciated her support, encouragement, and zest for life. Eva will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Her family extends sincere gratitude to the staff of ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Appleton for their compassionate care.
