Obituary
Jean L. Arnold, age 89, died Tuesday, March 19, 2024. She was born August 27,1934, in Neenah, WI, daughter of the late Russell and Ruth Arnold. She graduated from Neenah High School and earned a teaching degree from Oshkosh Normal School which was the name of UW Oshkosh at that time. Jean was a grade school teacher in the Neenah school system and in California. Later she worked for many years as a nursing assistant at Theda Clark Hospital.
Jean loved and enjoyed her nephews and young cousins. She was active in her church, Calvary Bible Church, and was a student of the psalms. Jean enjoyed activities with her family and her friends, especially children's card games and Rook with adults.
She is survived by her brother, Kenneth (Mary)Arnold, Prentice WI; special cousin, Carol (Bob) Fischer, Appleton; Nephews: Nathan Arnold, Madison and Matthew Arnold, Oshkosh; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 12, 2024, at Calvary Bible Church, 1450 Oakridge Rd, Neenah, with Rev. Paul Nystedt officiating. Please enter the church on the WEST side at Door #15. The visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established for Calvary Bible Church in her memory.
