EMERT STACKER

Emert Leo Stacker, age 88, of Neenah, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018.  He was born April 19, 1929, in Neenah, son of the late Louis and Dehlia (Olson) Stacker.  On June 1, 1963, he married the love of his life, Sally Sauer.  They shared 54 wonderful years together.

Emert lived on the family farm his entire life, which has been in the family for over 135 years.  Emert, Sally and their son, Lynn, so enjoyed working on the farm together.  He sturgeon speared for many years.  On February 13, 2007, he speared his trophy sturgeon, weighing in at 127 lbs. and was over 73 inches long.  For many years Emert enjoyed hunting up north and out west with his friends.

His shed was a favorite place to spend hours and hours fixing and tinkering on things.  Emert bowled for over 35 years and he also enjoyed playing sheepshead with his friends.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, sharing knowledge and stories.

Emert was very active in his church, Grace Lutheran in Winchester, where he was Baptized and Confirmed.  He also was on the church board for many years. 

Emert is survived by his wife, Sally; his son, Lynn (Cindy) Stacker; his 4 grandchildren: Benjamin Stacker, Emily (Brittany) Stackinski, Olivia (Orion) Kircos, Elizabeth Stacker and her significant other, Troy Voissem; sisters-in-law: Connie Sauer, Mary Kaczmarek Debbie (Jeff) Thompson; brothers-in-law: John Sauer, and Ronnie (Barb) Sauer; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. 

Emert was preceded in death by his sisters and brothers: Eunice (Bill) Bondow, Myrna (Wilbur) Harder, June Stacker, and Louis (Dorthea) Stacker.

The Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 PM on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Grace Lutheran Church of Winchester, 8396 Steeple Hill Dr., Larsen, WI, with Pastor Connie Bramlett officiating.  The visitation will be held at the church from 10:30 AM until the hour of service.  In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
