Obituary
James Edward Jordan, 83, of Neenah, WI, passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 8, 2018, after a prolonged illness.
Jim was born in Negaunee, Michigan on January 4, 1935. He graduated from Negaunee High School in 1953.
Jim married his sweetheart, Karen Anderson, at Bethel Lutheran Church, during a snowstorm on April 7, 1956 in Ishpeming, Michigan; they were married for 62 years. Jim and Karen moved from the Upper Peninsula with their young family to Appleton in 1961, before settling in Neenah.
Jim retired in 1993 from the Neenah Foundry Company after 32 years of service working in a number of positions. Over the years, he enjoyed the outdoors, tennis, playing with his children and grandchildren, long walks, and cooking on the grill. Jim was especially proud of his family. He was also an avid follower of the Green Bay Packers, Michigan Wolverine football and basketball, and the Badgers. Jim was an active member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. He also worked at Christmas Giving at The Boys and Girls Brigade in Neenah.
Jim is survived by his wife, Karen; sons, James (Nancy), David (Mary), and Michael (Leigh); grandchildren, Jamie (Chris) Jeska, Leah (John) McDuffie, and Chris Jordan; Heather and Amy Jordan; Stephanie, Jacob, and Amanda Jordan; and two great-grandchildren, Mila and Ivy Jeska. In addition, he is survived by his brother-in-law, Peter Anderson, and several nieces and nephews.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, William and Alice Jordan, his sister, Nancy Ducoli, his in-laws, Rudolph and Virginia Anderson, a sister-in-law, Anne Anderson, and a great-granddaughter, Marian McDuffie.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 140 S. Green Bay Road in Neenah. Pastor Robert Wilkinson will be officiating. Friends may call at the church an hour before the service. Arrangements are being handled by Westgor Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Mark's Lutheran Church. The Jordan family wishes to thank the staff of Theda Care Hematology and Oncology as well as the staff at ThedaCare Medical Center – Neenah.
