MARIE MILLER

Marie Bernadette Miller, age 87, passed away peacefully at Theda Care Regional Medical Center-Appleton on April 15, 2018. Marie was born on September 8, 1930 in Stockbridge, WI to Edwin and Mary Schnur.

A beloved mother, grandmother, family member and friend, Marie was employed as a certified nursing assistant at what was once called Valhaven Care Center in Neenah, WI. Prior to the CNA care, she exercised her skills as a telephone operator in Stockbridge.

Marie was a vibrant woman full of spunk and sass. She loved to laugh and her sense of humor was contagious. She enjoyed being active in the community and giving back any way she could. Marie's adventures consisted of dancing the night away to polka music, playing cards with family and friends, and taking chances on the slots at the casino.

Marie is survived by her two brothers: Gordon (Carole) Schnur, and Walter (Evon) Schnur; her children: Donald (Sandy) Miller; Edwin (Peggy) Miller; Lisa (Tim) Stillman; and Terry (Tammy) Miller; grandchildren: Amanda (Nate) Miller; Vincent (Kassye) Miller; Joshua Miller; Christopher (Tailor) Miller; Benjamin (Crystal) Miller; Kaitlyn Miller; and Jordan Miller; and great-grandchildren: Kiara Brux; Leonardo Schultz; Hudson Miller; Emma and Sophia Dorton; Joshua Miller, Jr.; and Dylan Krause. She is further survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Miller; and sisters: Rosie Heibel; Dorothy Ann Funke; and Veronica Blank.

A lifelong member of St. Gabriel Parish, 900 Geiger St., Neenah, a Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Friday, April 20, 2018 with Fr. Larry Seidl officiating. A visitation will be held at church from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Marie will join Donald in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Marie's nursing staff at the hospital for their tender, compassionate care and good humor they provided during her recent stay.
