PETER MUNTNER

Peter George Muntner, age 73, passed into eternal life on Thursday, March 1, 2018, succumbing to cancer.  Peter was born on New Year's Day in 1945, the son of the late Michael Muntner Jr. and Regina (Kropidlowski) Muntner.  He married his wife, Kathy Newton on August 9, 1969.  Their marriage was blessed with two beautiful girls, Suzanne and Barbara.

Peter was a great athlete, excelling in baseball, bowling and his great love, golf.  He also loved playing cribbage and had many friends on his cribbage leagues.  Peter worked for Menasha Corporation for his entire career, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather.  He retired in 2008.

Peter is survived by his wife, Kathy Muntner; daughter, Barbara Muntner and his beloved grandson, Sam Muntner.  He is also survived by his siblings: Mary Remmel, Margie (John) Schmit, and David (Teri) Muntner as well as their children.  He is further survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law: John Newton, Betty Losselyoung, Connie Zemlock, Paula (Eddie) Newton-Geiger, Anna (Jack) Johnson, JoAnn (Andy) Purdy, and Jackie (Mike) Jung; and James Lauson; as well his best friends John and Janet DeYong.

He was preceded in death by his precious daughter Suzanne Muntner, an infant brother Michael, parents-in-law Paul and Helen Newton, sisters-in-law: Darlene Newton, Nancy Van Price, and Barbara Lauson; brothers-in-law James Zemlock, Roger Van Price, Dan Losselong, Richard Remmel, and Larry Newton.

The Funeral Service for Peter will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Menasha's Westgor Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
