PEARL HARRER

February 10, 1922 - November 19, 2022

Obituary

Pearl Harrer, nee Thorne, age 100, went peacefully to her Heavenly home on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Matthews Senior Living in Neenah, where she was residing.  She was born February 10, 1922, in Menasha, daughter of the late Adeline (Gresens) and Robert Thorne.

Pearl met her late husband, Charles Harrer Sr., in California, where they were both working. They married in 1948 and soon after moved to the Neenah/Menasha area, and were blessed with 55 years together.

Pearl was a stay at home mom, but eventually went to work at Camera and Card in downtown Neenah. She and Chuck were members of Trinity Lutheran Church on Oak St., in Neenah. There they met many wonderful friends. Together they built an A-Frame cottage in Mountain, WI, where lasting memories were made with family and friends. They were avid snowmobilers and enjoyed getting together with friends to play cards.

Pearl is survived by two daughters: Bonnie (Thomas) Juedes, and Vicki (Fred) Ashenbrenner; two sons: Rick (Patti) Harrer, and Perry Harrer; a daughter-in-law, Tammy (Rob) Berghuis; nine grandchildren: Christopher (Lisa) Juedes, Jeremy (Cheryl) Juedes, Lisa (Fred) Ashenbrenner Hunt, Eric (Molly) Ashenbrenner, Charles Harrer III, Jack and Ryan Harrer, Lydia (David) Lynch, Justin Harrer; three great-grandchildren: Joshua and MacKenzie Juedes, and Malcolm Ashenbrenner.

Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sr; her son, Charles, Jr.; and her half sisters: Leona Tremmel and Lydia Schanke.

A private family service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Neenah. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton.

The family wishes to extend our heartfelt thanks to the caregivers at Matthews Senior Living in Neenah and to Promedica Hospice.
