Obituary
Clyde G. Douglas, age 83, was born to eternal life after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's on Monday, August 6, 2018. He was born to the late Frank and Inez Douglas on August 25, 1934 as a first generation American. Clyde married the love of his life, Janet Losse, on June 4, 1955 and their marriage was blessed with four daughters. He was a longtime member at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Neenah and enjoyed teaching Sunday school and ushering for many years at church. Clyde worked for 43 years at George Banta Corp. and retired in 1996. Before and after retirement, he greatly enjoyed working at Schramm's Beverage, later Bricco's Beverage, because of all the wonderful people he met.
Clyde was a family man at heart and enjoyed spending time with them. He was an enthusiastic Packers and Cubs fan who had a saying or a quick line for any occasion. Clyde was an avid stamp collector and loved going up north with his family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend who will be missed dearly.
He is survived by his wife, Janet (Losse) Douglas; daughters: Cheryl Douglas, Cindy Douglas, Carrie (Roger) Clark, and Caryn Boehler; grandchildren, Phillip Clark and Katie (Tom) Zartner; and great-grandchildren, Owen and Krew Zartner. Clyde is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Roy (Lucille) Douglas and Clayton (Dorothy) Douglas; niece, Carol Dalhoe; and son-in-law, Tony Boehler.
The Funeral Service for Clyde will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 200 N. Commercial Street, Neenah with Rev. Paul Holte officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to St. Jude Hospital or St. Paul Lutheran Church, Neenah.
