Obituary
Donnalyn M. Tesch, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 59, died peacefully on Wednesday, August 15, 2018, at Edenbrook Nursing Home in Oshkosh, with her family by her side.
Donnalyn was born on April 19, 1959, in Watertown, WI, daughter of LeRoy and Jacqueline (Hirtz) Tesch. She attended St. John's Lutheran School and Church in Watertown where she was confirmed. Donnalyn graduated from Watertown High School in 1977. She was a dedicated CNA and worked in different nursing homes and most recently as a caregiver for the Valley VNA in Neenah.
Donnalyn enjoyed gardening, cooking, especially her delicious deviled eggs, watching the Packer and NASCAR, and spending quality time with her grandchildren. Her sense of humor will be dearly missed by family and many good friends.
Donnalyn is survived by her children: Sarah Franz, Neenah, Bryan (Brooke) Utley, Neenah, Jared Utley, Neenah, and Emily Tesch, Appleton; her mother, Jacqueline Tesch, Oshkosh; sisters: Ramona (Dan) Moore, Surprise, AZ, Rebecca Tesch, Oshkosh, Jessica (Gregory) Schuman, Granger, IN; a brother, Glenn Tesch, Mesa, AZ; aunts: Judith Mewis, Jefferson,
WI, Jerrianne (David) Shoemaker, Watertown, WI, Susan Tesch, Watertown; her six grandchildren: Aaron, Kassidy, Kaylie, Autumn, Michael, Rylan; and her special furry companion, Watson “Waddles”.
Donnalyn was preceded in death by her father, LeRoy Tesch in 2011.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, August 31, 2018, at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home with Rev. John S. Dorn officiating of Living Water Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. The visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in her name.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Robert Kohl and nurse, Noreen, Dr. Kamal Abbi and his team at eh cancer center at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, the Affinity Hospice team and the staff of Edenbrook for their care and support of Donnalyn in her last months. Also, to Rev. John Dorn for his spiritual messages and support to Donnalyn and family in her last days.
