Obituary
On Monday July 26, 2021, I lost my best friend, Dolores Clara Schillerstrom, 87, who died at St. Paul Elder Care Nursing Home, Kaukauna. She was born January 22, 1934, in Chassell, MI; daughter of the late Charles and Mabel (Jaakkola) Frank. Dolores met her future husband through a coworker, Babe Nelson, who set Dolores up with her nephew, Harry “Carl”. They were married on November 17, 1956. Dolores and Carl celebrated almost 59 years together until his death on October 13, 2015.
Dolores worked at National Foods, Neenah, for several years as a meat wrapper. She opened her home and cared for her mother, Mabel until her death in 1980. She then returned to work as a CNA at Vallhaven, Neenah. She later worked at Oakridge Gardens, Menasha as their laundry supervisor until her retirement at age 70. After her retirement is when the real fun began for Dolores, traveling with her sisters, and playing bingo as often as she wanted. She was a life member of VFW Post # 10893 Ladies Auxiliary. Dolores' greatest joy came from her many titles, mother, aunt, grandma, and great grandma.
Dolores is survived by her three children: two daughters: Debra (Chad) Leightley, and Cathy (Fred) Price; and her son, Kelly; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Irene “Renee” Knight; and her many nieces and nephews.
In keeping with her wishes, no formal services will be held.
