Obituary
Charlotte Yvonne Reimer, age 88, of Menasha, peacefully passed away on the evening of October 9, 2025, at St. Paul’s Elder Services in Kaukauna. Born on January 25, 1937, she grew up in Menasha, where she built a life rooted in love and family. After graduating from Menasha High School, Char married Richard Reimer in 1955, and together they raised three daughters who were the joy of her life.
Char lived her life as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, finding immense pride and joy in her family. She cherished many joyful summers spent together at Silver Spur campground, before she and Dick fulfilled a dream by purchasing their cottage on White Potato Lake. A passionate volunteer, Char generously gave her time to the schools her grandchildren attended in both Menasha and Sheboygan, and was a familiar face at the polls during every election. She was a longtime member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Menasha, and in quieter moments, found peace and delight in birdwatching.
Char is lovingly survived by her children: Jan (Gale) Davey, Kathy (Jim) Mueller, and Lori (Todd) Zeier; her grandchildren: Cory Davey, Samantha (Craig) Hoffer, and Kayla (Mason) Miller; and her great-grandchildren: Hayden Davey, Rylee, Brady, Max, and Bentley Hoffer. She is also survived by her brother, Kip (Beth) Kuester; her brother-in-law, Cal Bellmore; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins from both sides of the family.
Char was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dick; her mother, Mildred Kuester; her sisters, Nancy Kuester and Carmen Bellmore; her in-laws, Jacob and Mildred Reimer; her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ruth (Gene) Peterson; and her dear friends, Joan and “Bunny” Zolkowski.
Family and friends are warmly invited to celebrate Char’s life at a memorial service on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Westgor Funeral Home in Menasha. Visitation will begin at 9:30 A.M. and continue until the time of service. Following the service, Char will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Dick, at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton.
In honor of Char’s memory, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Lung Association.
Char’s family extends heartfelt gratitude to Linda DeKleyn-Mueller for her years of devoted companionship, compassion, and care. They also wish to thank the neighbors of E. 4th Street in Menasha for their kindness and support, which helped Char remain in her home for as long as possible. Deep appreciation is also extended to the nurses and staff of Preceptor Hospice and St. Paul Villa for the comfort and compassionate care they provided.

To Char’s children. My condolences to you all. Your mom sat with Joan and I at St Elizabeth’s cancer infusion center every week for months. She would always bring a danish for us three to split. Even after Joan passed away, she still came to occasionally sit with me. She meant a lot to me and I will always remember her. -John Friebel
