ANDREW ZICK

November 20, 1984 - October 30, 2018

Obituary

On October 30, 2018 after just being released from a 106 day incarceration and 7 days of freedom, Andy (Andrew C. Zick) was tragically found by loved ones of an accidental overdose. Andy was known by most as a fun loving, outgoing person who was always telling jokes and making people laugh. The world will forever be changed without him in it. As his family tries to understand why someone with so much potential could make one small choice that will forever change their lives. Others have a sense of peace knowing his struggles ended that day. So here's to the "funny guy" who made it a point to always say laugh, don't cry because I'm where I wanna be if that day ever comes. He always said "EVERYTHING HAPPENDS FOR A REASON." Good night my love. I will see you again one day, until then I will remember you always as you wanted. Love you always and I'll never forget the promises we made, you can rest now. Love B

Andy Zick, age 33, left us too soon on Tuesday, October 30, 2018.  He was born on November 20, 1984 to Andrew and Christy Zick and grew up in Rhinelander.  In Andy's younger years, he enjoyed working and spending time at his family's business, Hodag Lanes.  He was a jack of all trades who loved collecting antiques and coins.

Family was the most important thing in Andy's life.  He especially loved the relationship he shared with his son Jack and felt it was an honor to raise Teddy as his own after his father passed away. Andy always knew one day he would share that life with his other children, and he talked about it daily.  He had the hope he would see them again someday. He also gave the gift of adoption to Christy and Kristy with his youngest son, Wyatt.  Andy had a very special connection with Brooke, the woman he wished to marry.   While their relationship wasn't picture perfect they both knew with hard work and dedication they would get through anything. Andy also had a special connection with his sister Nana and his parents.  They were very dear to his heart and loved them tremendously.  Andy also grew a special bond with his soon to be brother in-law, Adam Fero.

Andy is survived by his parents, Andrew and Christy Zick; siblings: Nana Zick, Nicole (Miles) Schoenick, and Ryan (Emily) Schoenick; fiancée, Brooke Fero; children: Mariah, Andrew, Roger, Mathew, Jaxon, Teddy, and Wyatt; brother-in-law Adam Fero; dear friends: John, Debra, and Angela Spilski; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Andrew and Mickey Zick and father-in-law, Warren Fero.

The Celebration of Life for Andy will be held at 5:00 pm on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home, 205 W. Doty Avenue, Neenah.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until the hour of the service.  In lieu of flowers, Andy would ask that we spend time hugging our kids, taking a walk on the beach with your loved ones, and cheering with friends over a drink. Life is short so live everyday as it's your last.
