BARBARA ANDERSEN

After a visit from her entire family, the Lord called Barbara J. Andersen home on Saturday, December 22, 2018. She was born in Neenah to the late William and Sylvia Gibson on February 28, 1944, and married Duane Andersen on May 2, 1964, together they have four children.

Barb was a very active member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Neenah where she enjoyed her Bible class and the friends she made there. She also loved spending time with her family at their cottage, and watching her great-nieces and nephews grow as she took care of them. She was a big fan of watching the Brewers play, even naming her beloved dog Brauny. Barb had a whistle that no one will forget. It could be heard from blocks, and the kids knew when they heard it, it was time to head home.

Barb is survived by her husband, Duane; her children: Heather (Mike) Schulze; Heidi Van Toll; Penny (Brad) Dittmann; and Daniel (Miranda) Andersen; as well as by her grandchildren: Nathan and Lucas Schulze; Daniel and Cassidy Van Toll; Brandon and Bryce Dittmann; and Ava, William, and Kayla Andersen. She is further survived by her sisters, Janet Gehrke and Sharon Kulzer; as well as by many other members of her large, loving family, and by close friends.

She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Dan Van Toll; her granddaughter, Larissa Van Toll; and by her brothers: Burt and Duane Gibson.

A funeral service for Barb will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 407 Oak St., Neenah, with Rev. Tony McKenzie officiating. A visitation will be held at church from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Barb will be interred in Oak Hill Cemetery.
